Before founding Stacey Reese Law in May 2013, Stacey practiced for almost seven years in the litigation section of a prominent Austin-based firm. Prior to earning her law degree with honors from the nationally recognized University of Houston Law Center in 2006, she graduated with Bachelor of Science and M.Ed. degrees (both with honors recognition) from the University of Texas at Austin and gained invaluable experience as a special education teacher and administrator in Austin-area schools.

Stacey was born and raised primarily in Warren, Ohio. She attended middle and high school in El Paso, Texas after her family relocated to West Texas during the mid-80s. She fell in love with Austin while attending the University of Texas and decided to make Austin her permanent residence (she even maintained her Austin residence during law school primarily upon the insistence of her husband, Jason, who has strong family roots in Austin and Central Texas).  Stacey, Jason, and their twelve year old son, Jaxon, have happily made Austin their home.

Stacey’s commitment to public service and unique experiences gained during her first career in special education are not lost in her work as a lawyer in private practice.  Stacey’s passion and dedication for helping those in need combined with her training as a lawyer make her an advocate uniquely equipped and dedicated to solving her clients’ legal problems. Her client-centered and customized approach to dispute resolution leads to innovative, efficient, and effective representation that allows her clients to resume their lives with minimal disruption and spend less time in the courtroom.

Stacey serves on the Board of Directors for the Civil Litigation Section of the Austin Bar where she currently serves as the Vice-Chair, and the Board of Directors for MAMAs (Mother Attorney Mentor Association-Austin).  Stacey is also a member of the Texas Alliance of Groundwater Districts, the Texas Water Conservation Association, and the Texas Association of Groundwater Owners and Producers, trade organizations that promote efficient communication and exchange of information on groundwater.  In addition to her professional accomplishments, Stacey remains active in Austin schools and communities through her membership in the Austin Bar’s Leadership Academy, and by supporting her son’s school, Hyde Park Schools.
